On Wednesday 19th of April, 2017, at 10:00 am, in the presence of the Assist. Prof. Dr. Lazgin Abdi Jamil, President of the University of Zakho, vice president of the scientific and students affairs, deans of the departments and faculties, Members of the second international scientific conference, directors of the governmental offices, the media, the teachers and students from the University of Zakho, under the motto of the "Zakho: Life, Culture, Civilization", the second day of the Second International Scientific Conference was held at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Science / University of Zakho.
The second day of the conference was started by the national anthem of Kurdistan, followed by a documentary about the history of the life of Zakho. Then a special session was organised by the assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Sleman Safar, The committee of the session was composed of several members (Assist. Prof. Dr. Lazgin Abdi Jamil, President of the University of Zakho, Said Haji Siddiq, a well-known historical writer in Zakho, Mr. Bejar Munib, Mayor of Zakho, Mr. Fahim Abdullah Hamo, Chairman of Duhok Governorate Council and Mr. Ali Ali Halo is a member of the Parliament of Kurdistan.
It is worth mentioning that the all members of the session talk about the city of Zakho referred to the importance of the city of Zakho to the audience and to the Kurdistan Regional Government.
After the session, the guests visited a number of colleges and institutions at the University of Zakho and participated in several activities and discussed a number of a research paper that presented at the conference.
